New Products

Google
Microsoft recently announced Windows XP Media Center 2005 and vendors released several new products to take advantage of the improvements in the operating system.

From music to photos to television to video, the range of products is rapidly expanding.

This page will be a place to check for newly released products.  Hopefully, it will be a place you visit often. There will be links to more information as well as pictures when available.

If you see a product that we haven't included, or if you're a vendor with a product that you think should be included, please contact us for inclusion.

The only requirement is that the product is directly related to the Windows XP Media Center operating system.

Media Centers

With the release of Windows XP Media Center to system builders, expect to see a lot of new names included here.  We'll try to keep up with the releases as best we can.

Media Center Extenders

There will be more extenders added here, but the two that I thought were worth including immediately aren't related to each other.

Linksys' extender is the type you'd expect to see, sleek and slim.

The X-Box extender will allow us to use our Media Center PC and the X-Box to send recorded programs, photos, music, etc., to other computers on the network.

Networking

The familiar faces are here - D-Link, Linksys and NetGear all have entries for making your network Media Center compatible.

Portable Music Players

The list of entries here is impressive. The complete list will be posted as soon as verified.  There are a lot of improvements to be offered, both in size and storage space.
